On the road

Saw a cattle branding, visited the Wagontire International Airport, went to the Malheur Wildlife Refuge and got eaten by hordes of mosquitos.  Ate dinner and breakfast at the Tall Town Cafe in Lakeview Oregon (if you're near there, go there because it's good and the waitresses are nice).  Watched the sun rise, shivering, after taking a bath using a water spigot and my frozen soap, from a reststop on 395 that wasn't on a map.  Saw a Whitefaced Ibis.  Wow.  Lot's of RVs.

Hopefully, I'll get this together better in the future and actually caption the photos.  The first is the branding, the second is Mount McCloughlin, third is the sunrise on Lake of the Woods.

On the OC&E trail from Klamath Falls to Sprague River.

Near Sprague River on Bliss road, looking South.

On 395.

Bean dip and chips.  Fritos.  Yum.

  1. Hi I am a bloggers mom totally enjoying hearing about all the wind, rain, shivering etc at a distance instead of being there in person. I will say there is nothing better (for me) than being on the road on a bike with a group of friends even if at times you wonder why the hell you ever signed up! Take care, and include your God Parents! They would love it and they said to say Hi!
